Really good news night!!!
Talked about some great things going on with the CBI and Banking....
Talked about them getting some ATMs machines out there in 24 hours
Getting their people prepared for banking so that they can use their phones to go out there and do their private banking
With my current business being in Technology...I ABSOLUTELY FIND IT OUTSTANDING they have 6-8 hours of electricity and they are talking about using their cell phones to do banking and ATM machines
They are talking about legislation that needs to be passed to let the private banks go ahead and start loaning because they had state owned banks
doing all this loaning..now they want private banks to take over that so they can become a multi international banking system ....they need a few laws passed to make that happen
Talked about Rafidian Bank stopped lending as of Feb 15...closed that down to lending and doing anything else so they can take a tabulation of that of the 15th..which is GREAT..
Now we have: first all of the things we were worried about if they had an RV what would they do with all of the contracts and everything...
they are going thru the Rafidian since that is the largest bank that has loaned most of the money out...they are going thru and have a tabulation on that...
Next all of the other banks can come in and start take over the lending and development of all of the other projects
So the banks can go ahead and do what they do make money and interest and loan money to people to make money off that process to build reserves and Central Bank kinda controls that whole process
ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL from that standpoint
Learned they are still educating everyone in articles out there about how valuable their dollars are
Talking about all the modern technology they have....ATM machines putting them in restaurants, etc...put them in all of these places where people can go to these places and do what they need to do.
Think about this...You would have to have some value!!
Why would you be putting these ATMs and these type of technologies out there for a currency that is not valuable at this point in time
The ATMs are a great source to get out those lower denoms...so keep an eye on that
GOING VERY WELL from that standpoint
CBI has worked its plan and knows exactly what they are doing..moving along thru each phase
Completed with this phase and Rafidian closing..they are finishing up what all the IMF has told them to do in order to have their banking system in line to have the blessing of the IMF
The IMF told them what they needed to do with all of their banking system and one of the biggest things they needed to do was to figure out how to get Rafidian Bank from controlling all the money inside the country
What did they do?....they stopped loaning...now we have all of the other banks ready to start loaning
Ready to set up for an international banking system and ready to be open up to the public here very shortly so they can start to do business loaning and doing what they are doing
Learned Budget due to be voted on Monday
Minister of Finance will be there on Sunday to kinda close out any other questions in Parliament they might have
Still struggling with power internally with the last piece that needs to be done before the conference can be held and the government can kinda come out in unity is the Hashimi issue..which is a fairness issue..don't want him to be prosecuted in Baghdad - they want the constitution and the judiciary branch to look at this with a sense of fairness and not to have somebody have a political issue with a person and be able to prosecute him thru the courts....sounds kinda funny but it is a very important issue,,,more so than you would think because in the past what did Saddam do with all his enemies....put them in courts...had fake trials...put them to death in public manner so everyone would stand up and do what they needed to do and follow him. This is why this is such a salient point for them and they can not let it go..they can not have that happen again....
Thats why everyone was comparing him to a dictator and all that other stuff that was out there....May seem like a small issue to us but it is a huge issue for them
Talked about they are tying the Erbil and oil and gas law to this so once this is done they can really get thru this and move quickly
They've had some very serious negotiations on this and moving forward ..
Lots of things moving forward and very happy with the progress being made
If you look at the plan that the CBI wanted to do..they are ahead of schedule from where they needed to be...
ALREADY ROLLING OUT THE ATMS .. BANKING SYSTEMS GETTING BETTER.....MORE INTERNATIONAL AND MORE COMPLIANT EACH DAY
THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT WE WANT TO SEE HAPPEN inside the banking system being able to do things INTERNATIONALLY.
Talked about how they have the ability to clear stock transactions for the stock exchange which will make the stock exchange a better place to invest money....VERY IMPORTANT that they can now do clearing house functions inside the banks so they can settle those stock trades and move forward...ALL DONE ELECTRONICALLY folks......from electronic standpoint in a very nice postion
If you can look at what you see and what they are telling us...THEY ARE ELECTRONICALLY READY TO DO WHATEVER THEY NEED TO DO INSIDE THEIR BANKING SYSTEMS....THE ONLY THING REALLY LEFT FOR THEM IS TO GET READY TO START RELEASING THOSE LOWER DENOMS WHICH IS IN THEIR SECOND PHASE
Thats one of the things they told us they were going to do - One of the things we are looking for very shortly
We talked about they are looking at mechanisms to get more money into peoples hands - the money from the (HCL) back to their people
Theres a National ID card they have..looking for ways to implement these things....not talking anymore about that this could be a good idea....NOW ITS A GREAT IDEA AND NOW HOW DO WE GET IT IN THEIR HANDS
Have about two or three ways to do that...National ID Card, Ration Card, or just have everybody go to the bank present their citizenship papers
to get it that way....this is the least desirable way....
My guess is based on how electronically savvy their banking system is there will be an electronic means to get it out to their people probably
already sitting out there waiting to be in place and WILL BE READY TO GO ONCE THEY PASS EVERYTHING

Really good news night!!!
