"NY's Funniest Fireman" - ABC TV's The View
John has been performing Stand-up Comedy for over 18 yrs.
and retired from The FDNY after 21 yrs. as a member of the
greatest Fire Dept in the world.
Over the years John has branched out
from Stand-up Comedy to Producing, Acting, Writing,
Host of a Radio Show and Keynote Speaker.
Tonight we'll see how Laughter played a part in the
Healing Process as a NYC Fireman/Comic loses 19 Members of his Squad...
...Including His Best Friend on 9/11.
Writing the screenplay "Time to Laugh Again" was part of John's healing
process. This story is not about the tragedy but more about friendship
and the power of laughter to heal after 9/11.
Penning the phrase, "Laughter Saves Lives" John has also begun
to organize a Cross Country Comedy Tour as a thank you for all the amazing
assistance received over the aftermath of 9/11 from all around the country.
John's way of giving back is to visit major cities across the U.S.
along with a wide variety of comedians performing comedy shows that will
benefit the "Laughter Saves Lives Foundation" and the local charities
that are first responders: (Police, Fireman, EMS & Military).
The Laughter Saves Lives Foundation" benefits organizatons & charities
such as: The Firefighter Cancer Foundation and many more!
