OUR TARIQ FROM IRAQ HAS MADE IT HOME TO THE UNITED STATES TODAY

He arrived in the US - received his clearance papers...has arrived in the US and no longer has to fear for his life
Mike shares the story behind Tariq...a great friend of The IQD Team for over a year now....was an interpreter for the American troops where he spent many months hiding and fearing for his life
He decided to get his plight out and has been on our call several times over the last year
We are thankful he has made it here and truly excited about his return

Dear Friends
I hope this email finds you well
Finally I am holding my Passport with an Immigrant Visa on it and my plane ticket...On July 12th...I will heading to my new home...the USA
I just wanted you to know because you have all been helping me since Day 1 and I know you will be happy to hear it
I hope I can meet you all one some day...somewhere in the US
Thank you so much for everything you did to help me
Special thanks to Becca Heller, Director of the Iraqi Refugeess Assistance Project for her continuous support and wonderful spirit that kept digging thru the mazes of this bureaucracy to give me a priceless gift like the one I holding in my hands right now
I will eventually be looking for a job so please keep me in mind

Makes you think that what you have here that you take for granted on a regular basis called Freedom...what people will go thru no matter how screwed up we think this country is as some of us do....or how great so think it is as some of us do...that people strive to come here because it is the land of opportunity.....keep that into perspective and understand the greatness you have and the people that have paid the price for that to give us the opportunity to talk about this investment that maybe that will put it into perspective for a few people....There are people on a regular basis concerned about getting blown up walking outside their doors....and maybe it is a just a reality check when you see the vigor and excitement that comes out of people when they get a taste of freedom
