Central Bank feeling a little pressure from the political side from Maliki coming out with some great articles
We discussed an article by an economists - A great article on the deletion of the zeroes might help you to go thru this entire article and read it again - it goes thru the whole process telling how it is going to benefit the country How that process may be a slower process to get things done they want to accomplish - in his eyes thats how he sees it
They talked about the Budget for 2013 to be adopted in the new currency - that gives them til September thats when they start adopting the budget for 2013 - Outlines that this new currency is going to be in that budget - and thats when they will have to have some kind of value for it before that time - they are going to be working very hard on this project for the next couple of months to do what they want to do
There will be Tariff laws coming in June
There are alot of different ways he can what he needs to do
and he looks like he is doing what he is doing at his pace
they've got this project outlined and it looks like they are working the project
They talked about what they had passed in the Parliament
The Parliament said you need some more laws passed and they said look we have everything we need to complete the project to this point and when we need to come to you we will come to you
Probably what they will do is get everything they need to get done
and get a vote on that currency getting pushed out to the people
Thats kinda how that articles sets it up to be
We will have to to see how that actually goes
We've always said the CBI has got it together - if the political scene could follow them we can certainly see things happening at a quicker pace
We talked about the Ration Cards - Ration cards being distributed in Centers in residential areas across the country
"New Model" of the card
sounds like they are trying to get these out without alot of bureaucracy - 2 years is the very interesting part - sounds like they are thinking long term and sounds like they will be able to be reloaded in the future
Parliament back to work and actually doing working towards alot of things - could it be they might be starting to acting like a country and doing what they are supposed to be doing
We move to the political side..they are fighting again
moving forward with the National Conference on the 5th
We have not heard anything that it is cancelled
Iraqiya party and the Kurds said they will be there
Iraqiyq said we will make up our mind that day
They've attended these meetings to get things moving..so they are reluctantly moving forward - I think they were probably informed they need to get involved in the policitcal process - stop running for help everytime they need help - they need to get engaged with the political process
Thats really where it is going to be worked out - Its not going to be worked out from outside their country - its going to be worked out from inside the country with these guys haggling and doing what they want to do
We saw articles today about oil being smuggled to Iran and accucations all over the place in the news..none of them seem to be very true
but again really what is goin to put a cap on this is the HCL law
which is going to tell them how those contracts are signed and how the moneys going to be divided up
We have always saidf that once that happens you are going to see people alot less worried about some other things because they can still do what they want to do inside their provinces as long as they know the money is coming from Bagdhad and it is not going to stop and that constiutionally they are allowed to have it
And that is what we believe too....
We believe this is the Key piece to this moving forward - that is the life bread of their country
Remember they have other minerals but they are not knowledgeable on getting those minerals out of the ground - some of those minerals like gold take time to mine and to get things set up & refined
Where oil already has the process set up - it can be drilled, shipped - it can be refined very quickly and adds dollars to their economy very quickly
Their whole economy is based on that right now
Shabibi wants to make sure that that is in line and in tact as they go forward..........Again we wait to see what happens with this whole political process
