Thank you to the Special Person who Visited Tim's Final Resting Place and sent us this Picture... You are a very Special Person... SIMPLY THE BEST   In lieu of doing a recorded call, I wanted to chronicle pertinent events that have occurred in Iraq since our announced break which coincides with their legislative break/Ramadan. My belief then and now is that Iraq must complete the formation of their government by including the three prominent sects Sunni, Shiite and Kurd. As I type the head of the House of Representatives, Jubouri, is on his way or has arrived in New York for a meeting with UN Secretary-General Ban Ki Moon where the two will discuss the UN Member States continued support in capacity of Security and Humanitarian relief for the displaced citizens. Days before he was meeting with the US President, Senators and the US Secretary of Defense, Asthon Carter. Jubouri informed the US that any delay in arming Sunni fighters will advantage Daesh as the West (Sunni Territory) believes their government has yet to show allegiance by inaction and continued marginalization. As anyone who follows us, during Ramadan in Iraq, which begins June 18 - July 18, there is very little news, so we had already decided to take that time off to spend with our families. As we stated on our conference call June 4, due to the news we received regarding Sterling Currency Group, and the fact that we have no answers as to why this occurred except the news report, we just decided to go ahead and take the break now from the calls on Tuesday and Thursday. We have no answers that we can report to you. There are lot of rumors out there and that is all they are rumors. As also stated, we will continue to report the Iraq News daily (click here to go there). It isn't some shallow song without any emotional depth, but the exact opposite, for it was written in tribute to a family friend, a fallen soldier. Guardian of Valor spoke with Rylee's father, who stated the Rylee saw how upset her father was about a friend of his that lost his son in Iraq. Army SPC. Justin Rollins was killed in 2007. She said, "I could just tell in my dad’s voice how upset he was about it, because he was feeling bad for his friend and he said he could only imagine how it would be to lose me." So, the first thing Rylee did was ask her father what they could do to help, rendering Jay Preston speechless. What they did was travel to California to record the song "Soldier's Light". On the official website, SoldiersLight.com, it states: In Justin's memory, and the many Americans like him who gave their lives for our freedom, Rylee wants proceeds from the song to help the "Ride For The Fallen” and to build a memorial that will incorporate a light "forever lit" to remember the fallen and to honor all who have served. The music video will pull at your heartstrings. It shows a family trying to deal with the loss of their husband and father and how it affects those left behind. After his many years of service, he settled in Jacksonville, Florida. Unfortunately, that’s when he started suffering from Post-traumatic stress disorder. Post-traumatic stress disorder, or PTSD, according to mayoclinic is a mental health condition that’s triggered by a terrifying event — either experiencing it or witnessing it. Symptoms may include flashbacks, nightmares and severe anxiety, as well as uncontrollable thoughts about the event. Many people who go through traumatic events have difficulty adjusting and coping for a while, but they don’t have PTSD — with time and good self-care, they usually get better. But if the symptoms get worse or last for months or even years and interfere with your functioning, you may have PTSD. Erick was eventually placed in a the Canines For Warriors program, which gives service dogs to veterans suffering from various conditions. Watch what Gumbo, his dog, does when Erick starts to get a PTSD reaction during an interview. It truly brought a tear to all of our hearts here at Aww Daily. Thank you Gumbo!
