I realized everybody had steppped away from the rheurotic..they have been calling for them to step away from the problems they have been having with each other and for some reason everyone just stopped talking...Allawi, Barzani did not say anything..only people in their parties were talking...just the members of Iraqi List, etc The only one who said anything today since they went into this silent mode of any importance was Sadr and what he said was significant Parliament did meet and supposedly they have postponed til July 10...found that to be pretty relevant to what I think is going on Of course it requires a little bit of looking into the past to figure out what is going on in the future.... As a result of a fight that took place between the Sadrists movement and Member of the State Law I believe they got into a major argument about the detainees that were supposed to vote on releasing some of these prisoners that were wrongly arrested... and that did not take place and I believe this verbal altercation that took place inside Parliament was indicative to the powers that be.....only 197 people showed up for the Parliamentary Session today...I think it was truly indicative as to Nujafi saying you know what we are just not going to get anything done until we figure out what is going on with our government....we are just going to postpone until July 10 and thats 12 more days?? The problem I have with that is they have had 45 days off....they have had 2 sessions..Sat and today they get into an argument today and postpone til the 10th?? Something is happening in Iraq that none of us can see and it is truly exciting because the rherotic has stopped Parliament has been postponed so now what do you do...do you call for an early session to question Maliki...do you wait until the 10th?? I am telling you guys It feels really really good and eerie that they told us in the news they were going to surprise us and now I just received 2 articles that will rock this whole call I will share at the end of the call with something I thought was going to happen and share with you at the end......dealing with Talabani who we haven't seen or heard from..only 2 articles today..one rehashing that he was sick ...basically a plagurism of another article used by another source You will be excited as I am when you hear what is happening with Talabani....dealing with the National Meeting Straight Talkin Mike "CBI confirms the stability of the dinar exchange in the month of Ramadan" Favorite article of the night for the CBI.....Love this article......for him to come out and say the exchange rate is going to remain stable.. This article should make you feel good about what your are involved with because it is going to have value ...thats what this article tells us...sometime in the future this is going to happen LJ's NEXT STEP "Sadr supports broadcasting national meeting live through media outlets" Here is one of the strongest statement made by the Erbil 5 by the only one talking Sadr...and the only thing he said is we are going to televise and broadcast the National Meeting ..........What National Meeting??? Haven't they been calling for early elections and getting rid of Maliki? Sadr is really the originator of the Erbil 5 that started the initiative to withdraw confidence..the one that got this whole Anti-Maliki withdraw confidence bandwagon rolling...he's the one that never wanted to have any dialog - he wanted Erbil..he was adament about it and to go from that to Sunday where we saw this big shift that we see continuing now that suddenly after not saying much...comes out saying oh by the way we are going to have a Televised National Meeting ........thats what they had been calling for some kind of National Meeting all along....but they wouldn't have it Suddenly for some reason that they are not telling us yet they have decided to now have a televised National Meeting Tells us using common sense that something has happened to soften the face of the Erbil 5 and it is very exciting to see what that is and what that is going to be LJ'S NEXT STEP BREAKING NEWS FROM LJ'S NEXT STEP TEAM....two great articles that just came out June 29.....about Talabini "Talabani's call for a quick return to the country" NEXT MONTH...1st of July which is Sunday.....we need to take care of this NEXT month at the latest...which means we are trying to take care of it THIS month..... Talabani get your butt back home......... Very very powerful article....its the first 1st time that anybody is calling for him....the ball is in Talabani court now Thats why we have been on Talabani watch the whole time - everybody is waiting on him... So We have Sadr calling for a televised national meeting and we have a call for Talabani to get back now because we want to handle it before the next month...no later than the next month...which means like Mike was talking about with the CBI article and Ramadan......We should look for something extremely exciting hopefully before Ramadan.... There saying get back....you have been there for 10 days...I don't even know if he is there any more..he was there but don't think he is there any longer....and they said they were going to surprise us in a news article "Talabani has prepared his son and has appointed him to succeed Father Talabani in his party's political bureau and Barham Saleh is highly upset?!!" This bodes well for something happening relatively soon as it relates to the surprise that I think they are trying to offer to us....we can't say for sure that is it is going to be concrete but like what Straight Talkin Mike said was going on with the CBI and the economics and that Storm brewing over there - you guys can see the storm brewing over here and they are going to converge and meet and I believe it is going to be something we have all been waiting for Of course we don't know - we still have to watch the news and see what they tell us. Tomorrow is their holy day - I expect a slow news day....last Friday was a very voilatile news day but if they come out swinging calling for early elections tomorrow which I doubt If we don't see any of that tomorrow I am telling you it is the Quiet Before the Storm They told us about a political surprise for us in articles we have read and that is the exciting part...it tells us there is something we don't know....and I think it is going to surpise us in a really big good way RECAP STRAIGHT TALKIN MIKE CBI Great night of News....Absolutely a historic evening.... CBI been moving forward with their plan..they've been running this drum beat to really get the banking system in line... Today we read a couple of articles about an agreement that Shabibi signed with Azerbaijan...These are strategic agreements - these are sovereign agreements - these are agreements that are opening the country up for trade and setting them up on the International Stage We also read a couple of articles that talked specifically about the Finance Committee which is the Political wing that helps the CBI craft their monetary policy which will pass the laws - jump on board like we have never seen them jump on board before - Yesterday they called for them to raise the rate of the dinar almost immediately - they wanted something done ...feeling like they had great power...today they said they backed the Economic Plan - they are behind them and they are going to pass the necessary things that they need We talked about this banking system being in place and everything that is going on and I got to tell you the banking system is coming on line.... We can see now that the banking system is going to truly be benefitting by all of these agreements that are out there and that we have seen lately...CBI even came out and said don't worry about Ramadan...the exchange rate will remain steady.. If there was one issue that the CBI has outstanding it is their auctions and truly I think the only thing that will really help them deal with the auctions is going to be an RV - that will stop the onslaught - because I think you've got Maliki from the political end trying to work against them as a last ditch effort.....the Finance Commitee coming on is putting that nail in his coffin and as you can see he has the political situation to worry about more than the Central Bank He has his eye on that ball and he is juggling it so the CBI is moving ahead These are very very good things that we need to see happen This will set them up to be an international country with an international monetary policy...Trust me these things that are going on...signing contracts, etc Why would they do this if they have a worthless currency...... We do not know the date.....nor the rate ...thats not what we do here...what we look for is the articles and how these articles are moving - what we are looking for...steps ahead ..piece by piece....little by little....as we move forward...all great news on the CBI side RECAP LJ GOVERNMENT What we had today go on in the government news was Hakim basically clearing the air on the fact that early elections will not take place and that we need to get ourselves out of the crisis because we can't try this every time we run into a snag This is a democratic process and we need to abide by the Constitution & let the Constitution handle it the way that it is - everyone has to step aside and put their political interests to the side...let the Constitution do what it is supposed to do which is to correct the path of a dictorial government should it go that way...He can't just call for an early election because he is not a dictator and he doesn't have that kinda of control So We're sorry Maliki but even though I am on your side and we met the last few days...you calling for early elections is just really a dead issue and its hot air and I just had to put it out there for the people Then you had Sadr come out - he's really the only one who said anything today..."TELEVISE THE NATIONAL MEETING" WHAT NATIONAL MEETING??? The National Meeting they are going to surprise us with We don't know the date...we don't even get into the rate We are just telling you that nobody calls for a National Meeting if there is not going to be a National Meeting He doesn't say in the coming days....soon....he says we want to televise it so all can see what takes place when we go thru and do this thing...this is the actual sit down where all the agreements are going to be agreed to from 2010 and move forward...these are the reforms everybody is talking about...any time you see the word reform you should just put Erbil Agreement there because thats what it means Article came out on June 22 talking about the health of Talabani that put us on Talabani watch...and we find out he is in good health..that he is not actually at deaths door. We don't know the necessary truth to that but we don't believe that with the lack of coverage that has taken place especially with the importance on Talabani's head right now being able to call this National Meeting to get resolve the world community is watching and waiting to see what is happening...The United Nations sent him well wishes for his successful surgery... so everybody is crossing their fingers and toes and wishing he would get back soon as he can and I think we are possibly going to see that They now call for and make a cry for Talabani to get back as soon as possible because they want to take care of it "next month at the latest" which means they want it get it done before next month..because next month would be the latest that they would want to deal with this....so we have a couple of days left in the month and I believe that they are going to surprise us...I really do We have Talabani bypassing Saleh as the heir apparent to his position if something were to happen to him and now giving it to his son who has resigned in April from US - Is now back I believe in the Kurdistan region because he was there for the new session in Kurdistan - as you have seen in the last couple of days in the news they have been holding Parliamentary sessions there and that they brought him in and probably made some type of address to him - Talabani has made an address to the Kurdistan Parliament that this was going to take place and its made Saleh mad because Barzani was really hoping to get Saleh - He knew he was going to go ahead and do 140 and HCL where Talabani was holding the show up...so if Talabani was incapacitated Saleh was going to go ahead and do whatever he had to do because he could call the National Meeting...that was what the article said Next Steps...We believe that the next surpise is the National Meeting Steps are we get the National Meeting whereby Allawi gets his NSC position whereby he will be able to name the Security Minister They have already named the Interior Minister - for the longest time they never named the Interior Minister - they finally named Asadi the other day as the guy they want to put up Another clue as to what is going on is that the Iraqi List the whole time in the last two years when they put up this guy Asadi they rejected him time and time and time again Well they put together a Committee between the Iraqi List and the National Alliance working together to put up the 2 names We believe that Dulaimi was put up for Defense and Asadi was put up by the Committee for interior....This has never happened before...EVER So we have the Interior so that would give us the Strategic Council position and also it will get Dulaimi in as Defense which would complete the GOI once you seat those ministers The 3 most powerful positions are Security, Defense and Interior When US came in to set up the Erbil Agreement in 2010 it was actually set it up so Maliki could not step over the process and just name the ministers..it had to come from the Strategic Council position....The Strategic Council position is the main reason why we are where we are today Maliki did not want to give it to Allawi and Allawi was not going to meet unless he got it Once Allawi gets it he will name the ministers -- the Government will be complete and then the ball will be in the hands of Shabibi So we are in a very very optimistic place...We should all be cautiously optimistic...noone should be on a high and you definetely should not be on a low....Where you should be is STEADY and understanding that something outside of the ordinary is brewing We think we have our finger on the pulse of what's happening and we should all be just a little bit excited Not anything major - to allow it to settle in and understand that we are so so very close to something happening and that is why we do these calls - to give people peace and undertanding by what the articles are saying and for the most part we have been very successful And there you have it... Join our Free Newsletter The IQD Team~~Highlights Summary Replay Conf Call June 26~~Latest Iraq Dinar RV News~~The CBI Rocks06/27/2012 The IQD Team Investigate, Question & Deliver Tuesday, June 26, 2012 Highlights/Summary & Replay of Conference Call Theme: The CBI Rocks Conference Call Replay - June 26, 2012 Download/Playback or 760-569-7699 Pin 769478# Straight Talkin Mike's Transcription of the Recap of Tonight's News (Listen to the recording for all of the detailed analysis of the articles discussed after each news article listed - the following is just Straight Talkin Mikes recap of the news discussed) Highlights from the CBI/Economy News A great day of news from CBI Coming out and educating the citizens of Iraq again today CBI educating the people...about getting the banking system on line especially the last 3 or 4 weeks....they are really moving forward getting their banking system in line...they're expecting alot of investment in the country to come in....expecting the bank to handle alot of investment and expecting their people to put money in the bank...all 3 of those things are very important and with the amount of invesment coming thru - millions upon billions of dollars running thru those banks to rebuild Iraq as they move forward - with the people when they do RV their money they end up putting lots into their banks if they have the ability to believe in them and believe in the currency then they will do that - and what we are seeing from the CBI and as we have talked about education of the people in the past - they are educating the public - trying to get them used to what is going on ...and in between the political barbs and things that are done...moving forward at a steady pace...they may take 10 foots forward..maybe the policitcal side will throw something out there take 1/2 step or step back...they brush themselves and move forward again...thats what we expect...lots of pressure to get this economy up and going...and also theres also alot of pressure to get the political side to get things figured out...moving that direction on both sides "A source at the central bank reveals "for the Iraqi gate" criteria for acceptance or rejection of banknotes" Huge article...educating the people...one of the things they are educating them on is telling people what they need to know about the currency and how we replace the currency Remember we talked about the bills being tattered - they pulled them off the streets telling them we can't accept this currency if it is...Just giving them direction....same way here if you have 1/2 dollar bill they won't give you credit for it here if its torn..burned.. these are the rules and regs and procedures they are setting force for taking back this money If I am about to have you bring it to the bank or come into the bank - you will come in - you will buy currency - put new currency onto the street...I want them to know what rules are and we are starting the education process again...these are the means and rules for taking back the currency....people who buried and burned it....it gives them the rules Love that article...lays out the structure to the people so they understand as they are exchanging their dollars or getting dollars "Central Bank: the amounts allocated to the loans are not commensurate with the preparation of the staff planned giving them loans" How do I get a loan for my house? Why are they putting this information out..why are they putting out these things? Why if their currency is pretty much worthless at this point in time...Sounds to me like they are preparing people to understand that when they have money that they will be able to do these type of things with their money...this is what we are in the business of doing....Educating people about the banking system. Thats the Final stretch..they are getting people interested in getting their money into their banks...telling them what they can do and how we are going to do it... when you have money that we can loan it to you, etc We have talked about articles talking to the investment sector...now we see articles coming out talking to the private sector Sounds like they are trying to build a banking system....looks like it....very straight forward All very positive developments ...You don't have things like this in place if you are not going to have some sort of value to your currency....think about it...why why because something is going to happen here.... "Parliament and Finance committee support REVALUE of Iraqi Dinar" Love this....its about time to have the Finance Committee on board Its almost like somebody told these peoples if we revalue this currency we are going to have alot of money and then they said okay yeah right right....then they rephrased it...when we revalue this currency YOU are going to have alot of money...Oh I get it......almost like the lite bulb is going off.... We have talked about the CBI has been ready to go for a long time They are ready...they know what they want to do.....they have a plan....they are moving fowrard with that plan The things we know that they have been telling everybody is the currrencies are going to co-exist period of 2 yrs...they will have the same value...thats what we know about the plan so far.....and a revalutation of some sort to take place with all of this.... To hear these guys talking this way....Sounds like CBI is in control of this process..sounds like they are in control of the money and getting things quiet on the street with everything they have got going.....GREAT ARTICLE...CBI is just Rocking and Rolling Tariffs Were the topic of the day and the emails.... Received so many emails and calls today people upset about the Postponement of the Tariff Law They have postponed the tariff as far as we can tell....which if you have come to our call you would know that there is always a possibility of that happening...not that it could probably happen..and would happen....But kinda suprisingly enough the CBI came out 2 days ago saying they were in favor of the tariffs....everything was ready to go and they were moving ..and just wondering if this isn't a last ditch effort from Maliki to try to really mess with the CBI Not that it is important thing...You do NOT need the tariffs in order to have an RV - the tariffs not happening did NOT stop the RV Everybody needs to understand that there is not one thing that is going to stop this...start it...its a process..its a series of events that go on..there are not things that are going to do it - actually the tariffs NOT happening happened to help this plan thats in place move along according to the plan - and not have to be changed because of undue regulations or things that were happening - apparently they had a plan that the tariffs were going to go there Maybe that was an interim step..now maybe they can go ahead with the full RV and do what they want to do because they are moving at breakneck speed to get things done Calm done....if you have come to our call you know we have said this before....There is not one single thing that is going to make this RV happen....take a deep breath...it happens....these are the small things that come up....Its Not a critical event in this whole process.....it actually helps the process a little bit more because it does not put it under pressure and they are not trying to make mistakes or do things and now they can do the plan the right way and move forward - Who knows maybe tomorrow or next couple of days they will change their mind and they will do things The tariffs in their mind are to protect the customer and to gain access to the WTO...those are the the 2 things that can happen either at the beginning or the end - doesn't matter where they come in its a good thing...its going to add inflation....they don't need any more inflation - they just started adjusting their inflation numbers again to get away from what the CBI was putting out - they took out oil and gas from the figures and lowered the numbers a little bit - obviously you are going to expect those type of things...don't worry - don't panic...we are moving along...This is NOT event driven as we have always said.....tariffs do not have to be in place to have an RV "Cabinet approves bill to postpone the application of tariff law" History of the tariffs - great article to read Its important and its very important to join the WTO But I gotta tell you its only going to be a period of time before they actually have them on - Don't get disappointed - it has nothing to do with the RV - Its moving along as it is supposed to...Nobody knows what the process is....we are watching the process unfold in front of us Its probably almost a little bit better for Shabibi not to have that pressure right now... He's got his plan in action - and as he has been moving and his banking system getting ready to go he's getting ready to roll out onto the street his ability to do what he needs to do to keep control of the currency and the rates in country.........There is a plan here and they are working it...keep the faith Listen to the recording for all of the great discussion and analysis after the other news articles read tonight RECAP CBI is ready - moving full speed ahead They've got the backing of the Finance Commitee - they are excited about the actual words we saw REVALUE of the Currency They reiterated the same things that we know...that is going to be running congruent 2 years - same value and that they are goining to keep the value the same and the purchasing power the same They are pulling these plans out...they are getting people excited about the banks - talking again about Islamic Banking which is so key - They are getting people ready to put money into the banks and I have to tell you - you are not going to do that with something that has no value CBI is taking charge of the exchange rates - taking charge of the project to delete the zeroes like they own it and moving forward...there work has been done and we have documented that - well done almost 6-8 months to a year ago - they have been ready to go - with the policital situation and things that had transpired -closing down your country for 5 days - all that has big effects on your economy and they had to keep that going well while they were juggling all of those other things - It is a just a matter of time Happy and excited to see they are getting everything going...the private banking sector is going getting the banking off...we have seen numerous articles abut the technology that they are using - everything that is available for them to have the banking sector & the private banking sector....it definetely is moving ........They have a plan and they are moving towards the Revaluation of their currency and they are Not trying to hide it as much anymore...they've got the Finance Committee on board and that is who they need - they just need some regulations passed for them as they are moving and doing what they need to do - they have a plan and they are working it Tariffs - at this point have been postponed by Maliki - this does not affect the RV in any way shape or form...its not event driven - it basically gives the CBI more time - as a matter of fact I think they might have done some reverse physcology the other day when they put out an article saying they were ready for it but I do believe they are ready for just about anything that gets thrown at them at this particular point in time so I don't think they are going to come out and say they are not ready for anything... Once they get the banking system in place...once they get this exchange system in place where you have to go to the bank to get your money and exchange and they can figure it all out basically they will have control of that economy and exchange rate and noone will be able to shake it...I think it actually helps the RV to a certain degree because the plan that they have its better if they can enact it without having to do anything funky along the way and have to go back and correct it in the end....Don't be suprised if two days later they do enact something and it doesn't RV because it is NOT event driven... There are alot of things going on..The CBI is working with Europe to get investments in from there.....bring wealth in and out and transfer between the two - help maybe with the Euro so there is alot going on Alot happening underneath the scenes... Government Recap - This is where we believe we are at... we want to see the government seated and the 140 in place...because Saleh talked about it earlier in the article we read...trying to develop more than an oil economy because it is very hard to keep your currency stabilized on oil and everybody knows what the oil price per barrell and if you can start making your economy more diverse you have a better chance of keeping your currency stable out there 140 definitely needs to be in place so they can figure out who is signing the contracts - ..where the power and money is going to lie so that they know how they can guarantee those contracts....not screw up their business..not have the government and themselves sued Remember they are a bank so they have alot of liability in all of this There not necessarily getting away with everything becasue they are not a governmental agency.....just like they are here - they are a Central Bank...a private bank - separate from the government - they have liability and they have to make sure they are covered and they are going to cover their butts as they go out...one of the things they are waiting on We talked about Talabani leaving the country... We talked about some meetings happening over the last few days what we are assuming is happening is that they got together Najafi realized that he has the votes he needs....they got everybody together...they had more than ever attend the Parliament session - almost more than in the history of their Parliament....Remember they don't get paid much..they showed up well they realized they had est. 176 votes and some people defected In order to go ahead and pull the No-Conf vote with Maliki - away from Maliki threats last week where he removed the barriers to try and scare them....they had some defections and things going on Now we have heard some rumours that the Minister who was in there from the National Alliance may be nominated to go thru but the big thing is the Strategic Council which is where all of the power is going to lie and that is who is going to take the power away from Maliki - he will become more of a figure head than he is instead of an administrator type of person This is the power he does NOT want to give up - noone wants to give him his ministers because they are afraid they are not going to get their seats where they need and deserve to be there...so there is some speculation in some articles we are reading that he may be willing to start to apppoint that They May be willing to go into a National Conference and come out and announce their government very soon It makes sense to me based on the things going on in the World Market ..the world and the economy behind them We have seen articles about Maliki trying to take Najafi out and other things going on One of the things Maliki did is close 44 news agencies in Iraq These things are starting to weigh very heavily on all of the political peoples minds...because it is looking alot like Sadam and what a dictator would do - Shut down the news, etc.......thats why the news has been very sketchy and crazy lately... Less outlets....you have to assume if you are Maliki you are taking out your competitors outlets and those type of things but news still goes out....they need to have a free press and they need to go forward We are looking forward to things happening over the next couple of days - this could be an exciting next couple of days be prepared for antyhing to happen on the government side Remember....the key here is that we are really do not care who runs their government per se - it needs to be set up with the Strategic Counsel or however they set that up - that needs to be inplace - once that foundation is in place and the 140s are voted on and the rules are voted on then you're there You've got Parliament changing and saying we need to get these things done for our people because really what they are starting to realize is that the people are getting hurt Thats the problem....its noone else getting hurt but the people.....they need to make sure these are the people voting them in and there is alot going on and alot they need to do "Abadi: there is a desire by the National Alliance to focus on the interests of the citizens during the current parliamentary session" One of my favorite articles.....its about the Iraqi people....."in the presence of 248 deputies"...Why is everybody in town??? "lifted restrictions it had imposed on investors who intend to invest in Iraq" Wanted to thank LJ & his Great Team at The Next Step - Had a great opportunity to spend some time with them this weekend - pointed us in their direction of what they believe is going on with the government and we exchanged some great information...nice to know there are like minded people out there who really care about the community and trying to do what we are doing and getting that information out to the community so they understand RECAP CBI Great things going on with CBI 1st article we discussed about a 10 year period for money to be exchanged and what we believe there will be some sort of short term period and that 10 year period refers to the Central Banks being able to exchange it for that outside the country as well as any other people who may have been repatriated or had money outside the country to bring it back in We talked about CBI and the Islamic Banking Bill being passed and the Islamic Banks opening up investments to the rest of the Middle East because of the Sharia Law that is needed in order to open these banks and to have other investors come in they are really making it being in the Middle East....really opening it up for the Saudis to come in...the Kuwaits to come in....these banks will be heavily used by Qatar, Saudi and it really sends a signal to Saudi to bring themselves in to the situation very quickly and allow them to help put influx into cash into the system We talked about the custom tariff laws and the change from the CBI wanting those to go in...it seems to me if they want these tariifs to be in place that they have a plan in place to combat ill effects of this and they are ready for this at the end of the month - that is a really good sign for whats going on Talked about the new ATM machines...just like here in America you can go to any bank..any ATM machine..round the country...800 banks to pull your worthless currency out....well we know it is not going to be worthless - they are not putting these systems in tact for people to pull out 2000 dinars...5000 dinars..You've got to have some kind of value to this and they have been telling us they have been trying to add this value and get their systems straightened out thats what we are all in this for....It seems The Central Banks plan is in full motion and I am very happy and excited to say that as we always say they are ready to do what they need to do Government Maliki is in trouble...had 248 deputies attend Parliament - approximately 179 votes Maliki out - ready to do what they need to do--bring him in front of Parliament to question him...he is in dire need...he closed down 44 newspapers to try to keep the stories from getting out...he has very little support from anyone....and quite honestly he is a man who has some issues...and we will have to see whats going on with him as we move forward....his days are numbered and limited Starting to talk about doing the work for the Iraqi people.....the financial laws that need to be passed....these are all good things It seems to me that between the CBI and this move to get Maliki out that they are moving very strong and very fast Things have been fluid over the last few days with meetings taking place and alot going on behind the scenes Now that everybodys back...Parliament coming back in to get things done...I believe this next Parliament Session will be one of the most productive sessions for the Iraqi Parliament in a long time We will see laws being passed...being read...being done very quickly - We will see CBI being supported in whatever they need to do and the country trying to move forward They are at a key critical economic point at this time in their future They need to add value to this currency...they need to establish their economy and to make sure the central Bank is working with the government so they can have the laws in place they need to Attract, Maintain...Keep Investment....ADD VALUE TO THEIR CURRENCY AND BECOME A FORCE TO BE RECOGNED WITH They dont want to wait and do this over a long period of time They want to become a significant player very quickly because the situation is changing... That is awesome...we believe that before they release those there will be some sort of revaluation and they are certainly giving us a pretty hard date out there when they really want this currency moving forward - my guess is they would probably hit that earlier than that date because they are staying pretty hard on that number out there...we wait and see...that bottom statement is the salient point out of this article and remember...smaller numbers with the same value on the currency without affecting the trading currency - that means they want to keep the value of the two currencies identical until people get used to the new currency....Awesome article... This process is moving forward quickly but moving one day at a time and they are pounding this drum and moving it out there "FLASHBACK...Republic of Iraq Ministry of Planning" The Exchange Rate of Foreign Currency in Economic Feasibility Studies Several key statements from this "It is demonstrated in this context to call for assessing the dinar for less than (3.208) dollar (official exchange rate) when assessing project outputs and inputs of traded goods of exports, substitute imports and imports... etc." AND "Estimate the amended exchange rate of the Iraqi dinar to be used in technical and economical feasibility studies and for (1.134) dollar per dinar. This price should be approved for 3 years until re-appreciation by the competent authorities." Listen to this part of the call - Great information shared about how confident you should be with your investment "Economic Committee decision: session Saturday sessions will be to establish economic laws" GREAT Article....We've talked about the privatization of the banks and getting this private sector started and what they needed to do - Shabibi came out and spoke about it .... I about fell over when I read this article..this is exactly what he needs to get things jump started over there and get this rolling real fast.....Awesome....Shabibi spoke 2 weeks ago and now Parliament is coming back on Saturday and these are the things that we need done......Guillotine process brought into Iraq in 2011 that helps them to speed up the these laws very quickly - sounds like they are going to do 1st and 2nd reading at the same time and then vote....modify and get the things they need done to move forward.....Great article...Lets see the actions now....Get in session and get it done RECAP RECAP CBI - Tonight we talked about a Great post by Scooter (Thanks Scooter) with information about a CRITICAL BENCHMARK BEING MET - "RE-BOOT" OF TWO GOVERNMENT BANKS...we talked about the supporting documentation from the IMF - the big thing is for the banks to reset and re-calibrate these banks so that they get away from the government - this is a BIG step in moving forward and resetting these banks to come into the private sector - raising and recapitalizing all the banks is going to get them ready to deal with the money that is going to be coming in for investments as they say...as well as the money they will have from the Revalue... So Why would you have banks put up more capital if your money is not going to be worth more if you have a fractional banking system? Let me say that again........Why would you have to recapitalize your banks if you have valueless currency and you want them to have higher capital requirements..why would you do that? That must mean that they are going to be handling more money at some time in the future....well certainly they will be handling more investments coming thru....thats correct..but they are also wanting to handle the money from the Iraqi people so increasing the capitalization now so they will have the money to service this increase in demand for the banking sector as well as being able to grow with things that are invested in their banks..... They are going to have the same value.......they are going to co-exist however long that will be they are going to co-exist til the people get used to it.. He also talked about in this article that everything is done...all the studies are done and it has been presented. We talked about Ministry of Planning Feasibility Study Oldie but Goodie Link...check it out and listen to the great discussion about this important document Like a White paper from the Ministry of Planning.....talks about the exchange rate by the Ministry of Planning It talks about the rate of 3.20 versus where they were as the official exchange rate and it says in the last sentence "Estimate the amended exchange rate of the Iraqi dinar to be used in technical and economical feasibility studies and for (1.134) dollar per dinar. This price should be approved for 3 years until re-appreciation by the competent authorities." Basically these are studies that say the bottom line it will support is 1.13 all the way up to $3.22 ...thats what the study said.... looked at it and asked if they could handle these rates ..they recommended the rate be low at the point in time this was put out based on the studies they put forward...don't get caught up on what it says...get caught up in the fact that they actually say this can be worth more than $1.00...it should make you feel confident when people say it will not be worth anything or $.01 or it is a scam...the bottom line rate is in this document from the MOP and other documents - this is where all of the others are getting these numbers from - There are accounting firms that went thru and did these same studies....came up with very similar numbers...... Think about how much more oil they are pumping now...how much gold they have found since this study was done....how much natural gas......etc etc ...this is after this Feasibility Study was done...Great Info.....When we talk about those things on our call and we give you our rate ranges this is just one of the document that backs up what we say.......Excellent article to read.... Listen to the beginning of the call during the CBI portion to hear so much more about this document and how confident you should feel with your investment based on documented information on the rates etc As the government turns One of the things Maliki did is he ticked off Nujaifi and Parliament He took down the barriers - Well now they are not going to come to Parliament - He thought he could scare them off - not voting if he took the barriers down - They demanded they be put back up and now he has himself between a rock and a hard spot because he did something he shouldn't have - bascially they said if it is so secure take down the barriers everywhere including in front of your house Maliki...don't just do it in front of ours...... Nujaifi was out there big time today......Great to see We learned the Sadrists and the Kurds are going to try and form one big political party which would give them the majority and would be able to let them form a goverment in an election - go after it in the election year coming up.....that should be scaring Maliki because his days are numbered...even he decides to pull this off and get into the next election unless he changes the Constitution and allows himself to run again which would pretty much be an act of war...very difficult for him to beat down this pressure that is coming up We talked about the Saturday Session in Parliament - all the laws they need for investment and anything they need for the private sector including the 140, Oil & Gas....tariffs....investments.....the whole nine yards...all dedicated to this Saturdays session.... Lets see if they can get thru it........and get these done... We talked about the 140 and the monies going to be passed out to these people....lot of dinars....lot of wealth going to be passed out to these people - could be a lot of influx into this country for rebuilding Remember we talk about it.... What are they going to do with their money when they get it What we would like them to do is stay there...build houses...buy cars...start businesses...don't take the monies out of the country...take the money and put it back into the economy here.... Just like what we do here..when our economy is going really well you are buying things - that money goes back to the retailers who in turn buy more goods...they can put people to work - all works very fast that way Its very interesting all of that happening and moving Been tremendous movement that we have seen from the Parliament and what they are doing and how they are doing things its just great to see..I think we have reached a head to this and getting to the point where we are going to start to see some action What Maliki did today was ticked off alot of people and set himself up for failure We talked about the 15th postings appearing in the Gazette...in Arabic- one which was "Law of conservation of hydracarbon wealth No 84 for the year 1985" ...Could be some really great stuff in there....
