63 Billion Reserves & Open Letter of Credits - Huge Huge NewsOn the scheme of things how things are progressing - we are going at a very very quick paceNow that doesn't mean it is going to happen tomorrow You can see that they need to add value somewhere between now and when they release their new currencythat is their plan -we are getting into that phase where the windows are coming down You've got the banking system really developing and getting strongerThe next step for this all to work is to have a private sector start hiring in order to stimulate the private sector as Shabibi talked about last weekThe Central Bank can use those letters of credit to do thatHuge in helping their own cause.....It is a huge instrument in international banking for the private sector - thats exactly what it is forso if they need farm equipment they can get it, if they need grain they can get it with a letter of credit, they can go anywhere...go to China and get it, whoever they want to buy from - It is going to open up everything...PEOPLE ARE GOING TO RUN TO DO BUSINESS IN THE PRIVATE SECTOR when they know their funds are GUARANTEED and you can't lose...you ship your equipment...its done - they know the funds are in the bank...done....great transaction
RecapGovernment has been very active today -seeing some deals being struck...seeing some things going on - We are at the point that in the next few days we are going to see what it is going to be - Are we going to have a majority government formed? Or are we going to see Maliki being ousted?Again all we really need is the framework for these people to goso if Maliki does put everybody into places that they need to go then they can move forward - he can still operate and move forwardRemember slick political people will always keep themselves above the political fray and they will always try to end up in the best position they can - he's one of these guys - look for him to maybe worm his way out of it - but it certainly looks like they have taken this to the point where they are ready to give their letters of resigtnation and go - Its pretty much D Day - they have the paperwork they need- looks like they have the votes that they need and it looks like they can use that as leverage to force him to do what they think they need him to do - if they are tired of it they can go ahead and go thru with it - do what they need to do - and then it kinda puts a state of flux in - then you will have people call for new elections..all that kinda stuff....so the best thing would be to have this thing resolved in an appropriate manner with a majority government formed and them moving forward...I think that is what we are going to see - I think we are seeing alot of different smoke in different meetings right nowStay tuned....again as we discussed they have very little concept of time as Tariq from Iraq told us about many timesCBI.....We read and discussed so many great articlesThe whole theme was they need to ADD VALUE TO THEIR CURRENCY and they need to do it quick because they are going to have a big growth spurt in their economy over the next 2-3 yearsWe've heard Shabibi talk about getting the private sector involved - All the articles we read talked about getting the private sector involvedWe now have the Central Bank able to issue Letters of Credit to help get the private sector involvedWe've got them talking about the need to get the value into their currency quickly or it could be the deterioration of their currencyRemember as the GDP grows..there is no growth in or adjustment to for the GDP for the Iraqi Dinar - then they will have problems and it will be the destruction of the economy..they will never get the private sector offThe government will employ everybody and they will be stuck in this little rut for years to come in order to do the things they need to doCBI seems to be working very hard - Jeffries talking about getting the banking sector going - that they have the backing of the UST...the World Bank and everybody else and their brothers to get this doneRemember we talked about the Future of Iraq Project and the banks being the last thing they need to get done....the Final ChapterJeffries was one of the architects for this over there when it was first implemented -he's now talking about getting the banking system moving and moving forward quickly - ALMOST LIKE THEY ARE DRIVEN TO GET ALL OF THIS DONE Again we are on the lookout - they want to get this local dinar stabilized - they want to get the banks exchanging dollars - get rid of the speculators in the streets -give the people the opportunity to get a fair chance when they add value to this so that the people are not ripped off by the street vendorsRemember that...if there is a revaluation the street vendors will be able to take advantage of the people and that is not something you wantThats why they look for stability in this - get the speculators out of it....let the banking system coming in hard being able to exhange dollars- they will have a great ability to control that situation on a better level and its going to hurt some of these street vendors but in the long run it will help their economyWith their economy doubling and tripling 3 times - per capita income doubling and tripling - for every zero that they don't delete its going to do damage to them if they don't remove those zeroes ...and when I say remove the zeroes...I mean adjust that rateTHEY ARE POUNDING THE DRUMS AT THE CENTRAL BANK and they are MOVING FORWARD - and the drums keep on saying ADD VALUE TO THE CURRENCY....ADD VALUE TO THE CURRENCYGreat news night...we have not seen articles like these for awhile - we have all been concerned about the political situation - and that seems to be coming to an end - We have noticed the rheurotic in the paper is not as brutal as it has been - the word dictator is not being used as much - lots going on ...and its all Good......

(Listen to the recording for all of the detailed analysis of the articles discussed after each news article listed - the following is just Straight Talkin Mikes recap of the news discussed) RecapCentral Bank is really stabilizing their as rates quickly as they can - really trying to get things moving in the right directionThey are working with the Finance Committee..looking to bring their rate down to 1000 dinars to one dollar...which is from 1166 down to 1000 - we talked earlier at length about how that works....take the time to listen to the explanation about this - it will help you understand - basically they want to stabilize their currency so they can do more things with their currency in the futurewhether it is drop the zeroes- those type of things --finally working in conjunction with the Finance CommitteeFinally a sense of urgency to stabilize everything - get the banks involved and get the legislation they need to get the things they need to passIMF & World Bank are reiterating what they have said...they are going to help guarantee loans..help get the banks get off the ground...when people come to invest in Iraq their contracts will be backed if they can not be fulfilled by the Iraqis taking the fear out of investing in Iraq ...Think about it....there is an Urgency to stabilize the currency....IMF and the World Bank is coming in and saying we are behind Iraq - really pushing toward some sort of conclusion to move forward - Good news is you have the Banks standing behind the loans which will help them increase the investment coming to Iraq - all happening at the same time - We know that Chapter 7 is coming to a close very shortly too....everybody is lining up to make sure everything moves quickly and accordinglyAll very good and positive things - That will help increase the stability and the currency and support whatever Shabibi is going to do with his money - Everybody is positioning themselves to take advantage of some sort of eventTomorrow is D Day Folks day for MalikiLooks like Saturday or Sunday is going to be D Day...We will know whats going to happen..We will know whether he is going to capitulate or give them the ministers or he's going to get his Vote of No-Confidence - The sides are lined up...lets wait and see - Its like a Good WWG wrestling match - we will have to see what happens after its all done and who ends up the Champion of it all - Whatever it looks likes it will be a government of Iraq that is complete.....Ministers seated - Power shared...Contracts being signed and moving forward - whatever that looks like...lets not get caught up on what that looks like..who those people are...thats for them to sort out - all we like to see is that the government is complete and moving forward no matter who is at the head of it Everybody is talking like it is done folks....Positive results from the G 5 + 1 meetings that concluded on Friday.....Talabani had meetings with Jeffries and it went very very well......sounds like something has been settled....looks like things are all done..... Of Memorial Days, and Sons and DaughtersBy Bingham C. Jamison, CFA | May 25, 2012 | With the holiday upon us, a friend recently asked me how I planned to teach my children about the importance of Memorial Day. As a former Marine and veteran of two tours to Iraq, the question surprisingly caught me off guard. I have written extensively about war and its cruel influence on those who waged it, but the concept of passing the difficult lessons I learned in Iraq on to my children has only rarely crossed my mind. It’s not that I want to keep things from my family. My oldest child is a preschooler, and so until recently my kids have been too young to grasp the concept of patriotism. My son is only 18 months old and surely too young to understand, but my three-and-a-half year old daughter, a precocious beauty wise beyond her years, has already developed a strong capacity for empathy. She may not yet truly understand the meaning of the flag, or why we place our hand on our heart when we listen to the National Anthem at a ballgame, but somehow she knows that if Daddy cries during ”The Star-Spangled Banner” it’s because he misses his friends. Without fail, when the anthem invokes an emotional response from me, she asks me to pick her up at the end of the song, and she kisses the tears from my cheek. Embarrassed, I tell her that the tears are Heaven’s raindrops helping wash away Daddy’s sadness. Although she’s never at a loss for questions, thankfully my explanation always seems to suffice. So now that Memorial Day is here, how do I teach my daughter that the holiday is about much more than just barbecues and American music? About more than fireworks and festivals? Before I got myself sober, Memorial Day was always a day of drunken mourning; a day to wallow in guilt and anguish for surviving when others did not. It was a day of morbid reflection, the anticipation of which haunted me for weeks ahead of time. I was wholly consumed by my twisted thoughts and emotions. I avoided interaction altogether, and generally forced myself to watch war movies because somehow I felt obligated to relive the sense of combat, as if to pay homage to my fallen comrades. Luckily for my sake, and now my daughter’s, I am sober and able to address the concept of Memorial Day in an entirely different, more productive and rewarding manner. I advocate on veterans’ issues, and serve as an advisor to Veterans Healing Initiative, a nonprofit that helps veterans access treatment for addiction and PTSD. For far too long I hijacked Memorial Day and made it about me. But Memorial Day isn’t about me. It’s about remembering and honoring those who never made it home. It is the formal holiday that reminds us that every day is independence day; as the motto goes, the home of the free because of the brave. So this year I will teach my daughter about Memorial Day by doing, not lamenting. Perhaps we will plant a flag at the gravesite of a fallen warrior, or perhaps we will attend a parade or a speech. Perhaps I will invite my close group of friends, all fellow combat veterans, to share the day with my family and me. Or perhaps I can teach her the words to the National Anthem or the Pledge of Allegiance. I can honor those who didn’t make it home by embracing their legacy. I can teach my daughter about patriotism, about loving our country, by showing her my devotion to and respect for those who have gone before us. May we all be so fortunate as to have the opportunity to pass on what we love about our nation to our children. May every generation never forget the valiant warriors who sacrificed on their behalf. And for the kids too young to remember the wars, and the significance of the supreme sacrifice they represent for the rest of us, may their parents take the time on this, and every Memorial Day, to explain.

(Listen to the recording for all of the detailed analysis of the articles discussed after each news article listed - the following is just Straight Talkin Mikes recap of the news discussed) Some of the comments made about the CBI articles tonight...Shabibi spoke...we should listen....he's talking about the oil industry and the private industry - He's talking about the oil revenues - he talked about the government growing too fast - when he talks about the government growing too fast he means that the government is employing 40% of the population - The private sector is strugglinghe needs the private sector to be healthy and he needs it to add to his economy... Why is that? He knows and wrote his doctorial thesis on Emerging Countries with Oil - He understands what needs to be developed here....he understands what they need to go forwardhe understands that the oil industry is Huge....We've talked about it before - He is talking about it now in very certain terms that he is very much wanting the private sector to grow- its where the growth needs to come from - One of the best thing about this article that one of our great listeners pointed out and we agree - I want you to think about this statement "Oil sales dominate Iraq's economy and government revenue, bringing in $8.8 billion last month, the highest figure since 1989... ...The country currently produces more than three million barrels per day, but is looking to increase this figure dramatically in the coming years."They are pumping more oil than they ever have.....What was there value in 1989? It was $3.22 - Now if they are pumping more oil than they ever have how undervalued is there currency right now? Shabibi speaks..we listened...What is he telling us here?? He's telling us he's pumping revenues he hasn't seen before - He's happy with the oil revenues - he wrote the book on this - they need to develop the private sector - for people who think this isn't going anywhere - - that there is nothing here - That statement says it all!!!! JUST THINK ABOUT THAT.Theres alot of value to add to this currency - he knows it - he knows he needs some things in placeThe government had asked him a few days ago to come down and see whats going on so they could be in conjunction- they could start asking for what they both need - They want some information on the currency and the lifting of the 3 zeroes - Shabibi said Thats fine and dandy - but he wants them to give him the private sector - get your oil sector working so that I know that the $8.8 billion that is coming in is going to be consistent and its going to go - I wrote my paper on this - I know what we need to do to survive and that is letting the private sector in - they have a ton of things going on in the private sector and they need to pass laws to make it easier for people to come in - he's talking about people coming into work and they can't stay because they can't get these jobs to the people - they are not qualified...they need to bring in trainers...you have to let foreign people come in and workYou need people to train these people and they need to adjust the laws to make sure that they can do that - Politicians think that if you employ everybody there that you will be able to do that and do well at itGREAT ARTICLE....WOWThe return of the dinar to trade after the global coverage by $ 62 billionEconomist said that the dinar returned to the circulation of a new global financial markets for covering a cash reserve of 62 billion dollars. Said economist at the Ministry of Finance Crescent Taan to increase oil production and rising gross national product of Iraq ahead with great support of the Iraqi dinar, which granted the power to enter into international capital markets for trading . He said the Iraqi currency began to thrive again after decades of deterioration due to conditions in Iraq that passed late last century. And a website economically U.S. began trading dinar, along with other global currencies.Thats huge......WOW........The articles have been forming a great plan...We've talked about the 6 month plans....Dr. Shabibi coming out and speaking that he needs the private sector to develop and he needs laws...talking about tourism...talking about people getting involved with the banks....talking about recognition for the currency now......Why would you do this for a currency that is worthless? That is the question of the day? Why would you do these things if you have no plans to do something in the near future?The point is that of all the things we have read tell us so many important things - going thru the news articles daily to try to get a clear picture of where they are going - you have to go thru everything to get a clear picture - weed thru the good and the bad articles....they won't tell us a date or a rate but what they are telling us is they are getting ready to set this currency up to be recognized....to be something special....to be a currency...they are not going thru these motions to screw the world - You can really get a clear picture of whats going on by taking your time and reading the news...those that say don't read the news you just don't get it.......We get it from the news to get the direction they are moving in...There was so much great news tonight.....The political news is percolating and we are waiting for the final outcome...To me the CBI came out and it is clear are very happy with everything and they way things are going underneath - He's not going to move forward until he feels there is an ending to this political crisis...when I hear people say it is not about the political process..look at what Shabibi said today....he told us he needs legislation...thats the political process.... there needs to be more private sector jobs than there are government sector jobs now.....thats not going to work....he wrote his thesis on his - he needs people to understand what he needs to get this moving forward..........He's telling us what he needs..........He is telling us how important the oil and gas is to his economy.....it is extremely important that we all figure it out and know it and understand that these are the things he was waiting for to be done - had he had these things done I think he would have moved alot quicker - He has NOT stopped moving forward and they are getting things done....Single Window System......Great Article....even more great information about what Shabibi spoke about.....listen to the call for the discussion of this article...great discussionALL GREAT INFORMATION FROM THE CBI tonight

Shabibi is the head of the Central Bank....even when he says very little he says alot.....you have to glean thru what he had to say about the economyShabibi spoke today...he told us 8.8 billion dollars last month in oil revenues - they have more oil revenues than they did in 1989 - Remember in 1989 their currency was worth 3.22 - leaves their currency way undervalued just on oil revenues aloneHe spoke about how important it is to reactivate the private sector because the private sector needs to open up - they have 40% of the jobs in the government - Instead of expanding the government they need to make sure the private sector expands.What he is doing for the currency is attempting to have his banks sell currency to take away that job from the street vendors so the street vendors can get themselves stabilized - so he doesn't have these wild fluctuations because the banks will help set those rates and they will come to him and they will get all of those customers name - they will be able to have better control over it.... Absolutely wonderful - we want to see that happening - want the banks to start getting investments - they want to get things going - they want all of these people that they need to have employed - we discussed that - We discussed the one window system - the banking system will employ alot of peopleAnd Dr Shabibi knows it so he needs the legislation passed to give these banks permission that they needMaliki is still in alot of trouble - we are waiting to hear whether it is a Vote of No Confidence or whether he is going to capitulatewe know now he has about 2 more yrs left in his term- kinda gives you the perspective they are going to do something now or they are stuck with him for an awful long time - so we really want to keep in eye on this for the next couple of days - We are coming to an end with thatObviously Shabibi coming out - he's starting to feel better about the political situation so that means there must be an end to the meansWe talked about the Finance Commitee wanting a plan for the zeroes - Shabibi will give them that Again Its more important to get the private sector up and running - let Shabibi revalue the currency - then they will figure out what they are going to do with the removing of the 3 zeroes - kinda the process we are looking atTalabani put out Social Security Act to the House of Representativesand the Oil & Gas Law is looking goodAll these things will create jobs in the private sectorand funny these articles are out there today on the same day Shabibi spoke - Theme for tonight Shabibi Spoke...We all listened...just like E F Hutton
